WRLC would like to officially announce that Kim Armstrong has retired as Executive Director after an incredibly impactful three years. In addition to major budgetary realignment and a focusing of the organizational mission, she worked with our Library Directors Council to craft a 4-year strategic plan that defines clear priorities to enhance consortial service.

We are grateful for Kim’s years of leadership and the culture she was able to create. We are also pleased to share that WRLC Deputy Director Aaron Krebeck has been named Interim Executive Director for the coming year.  Aaron assumed the role on October 23rd and hopes to build on Kim’s work of supporting our partners in their continued excellence.

Our fellow library consortium, and Peer-to-Peer Resource Sharing partner, PASCAL, has a delightful tradition of sending its bookworm ambassador, Pascal, to visit libraries across the country. Pascal's adventures are featured in PASCAL's newsletter, where his travel journal and photos offer a fun glimpse into the daily work of library staff and introduce colleagues from across participating libraries.

During his recent visit to the WRLC’s Shared Collections Facility, Pascal was a welcome guest, diving right into the team's daily processing activities. A special Thank You to the SCF staff for welcoming Pascal and including him in their work!

It's little traditions like these that help build goodwill and connections across our library community. Pascal's travels offer an opportunity way to share a glimpse of our daily work and get to know colleagues at other libraries along the way.
